Upsidia is operated by MyJobMag Limited (“we”, “us”, “our”). This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have. It covers the Upsidia website, the free business directory, the blog and newsletter, and the Upsidia platform at app.upsidia.com, including our mobile apps.

Account details. When you create an account we collect your name, email address, phone number and password. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email address from Google.
Your business records. The platform stores what you put into it: customer names and contact details, quotes, invoices, bookings, jobs, reviews you request, and messages you send. This data belongs to you.
Payment information. Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card number. We keep records of your plan, invoices and payment status.
Enquiries and bookings. When someone books or enquires through a booking page or the directory, we collect the details they submit so the business can respond.
Newsletter. If you subscribe to the blog newsletter we store your email address to send it to you. Every email includes an unsubscribe link. When you unsubscribe we stop emailing you and keep a minimal record of your address so that we do not email you again.
Usage data. We collect information about how the product is used, such as pages visited and features used, along with device and browser information, to keep the service secure and make it better.
We do not sell personal data.
Where UK GDPR applies, we rely on: performance of a contract (running your account and the features you use); legitimate interests (securing and improving the service, and light-touch analytics); consent (the newsletter and any optional marketing, which you can withdraw at any time); and legal obligation (tax and accounting records).
When you store your customers’ details in Upsidia, you are the data controller for that information and we process it on your behalf, on your instructions, to provide the service. You are responsible for having a lawful basis to contact your customers, and for honouring their requests. Messages sent through Upsidia include opt-outs where the law requires them, and we will help you meet access or deletion requests that relate to data held in your account.
We share data only with the service providers we need to run Upsidia:
Each provider processes data under its own safeguards and our agreements with them. We may also share data if the law requires it, or as part of a business sale or restructure, in which case this policy continues to apply.
Where a provider processes data outside the UK, we rely on recognised safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or standard contractual clauses.
We set a small number of cookies the website and platform need to work, such as the one that keeps you signed in and the one that remembers your cookie choice. We set Google Analytics cookies only if you accept them on the cookie bar, and you can change that choice at any time from the “Cookie settings” link in the footer. Our Cookie Policy lists every cookie, what it does and how long it lasts. Blocking the essential cookies in your browser will stop sign-in from working.
We keep your data while your account is active. If you close your account we delete or anonymise your data within a reasonable period, except records we must keep for legal reasons, such as invoices for tax purposes. When you unsubscribe from the newsletter we keep only a record of your address so that we do not email you again.
You have the right to access, correct, delete and receive a copy of your personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. To exercise any of these, contact us through our contact page. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
Upsidia is a service for businesses and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
If we make significant changes we will update this page and, where the change affects how we handle your data, tell you by email or in the product. The date at the top shows when this policy last changed.
